According to the investigation, Joseph Frittsl, who is now 73 years, in 1984, shut its 18-year-old daughter Elisabeth in the cellar of his house and kept there for 24 years, regularly raping. During this time a woman gave birth to a father of seven children.
One infant died shortly after birth because they did not receive necessary medical care. This gave the prosecutor an opportunity to put forward against Frittslya charged with murder. In addition, he left locked in the basement of another three children born to Elizabeth. These children grew up under the ground and never saw the light and, thus, also become victims of abuse by the perpetrator of their mothers.

Maniac was arrested in April 2008, the trial began on 16 March 2009. At past meetings Frittsl already given their testimony, in particular, told the court about his difficult childhood and his mother, who taunted him.
