Cuba has decided to expel from the country of several Spanish intelligence CNI, which operated in the country without official notice. It writes the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, agents arrived on the island to determine the exact number of members of the Basque terrorist group ETA, living in Cuba.
Cuba is already working group of CNI, working in consultation with the Cuban secret services. It has oversight over the deportation of a bilateral agreement, members of ETA. According to official figures, of whom there are five or six people, but Spanish authorities suspect that their number may exceed 20 people.
Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos (Miguel Angel Moratinos) confirmed that some staff members CNI had to leave Cuba. But he said that the departure was made in the planned rotation of personnel and not a sign of the deterioration of relations between countries, transmits AFP.
Spain to deport some cases, members of ETA, are not involved in serious crimes. In addition to Cuba, according to the newspaper, they agreed to accept Algeria and the Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, says El Mundo, deported to Cuba Basques suspected of violating the regime: they are trying to organize logistical support to members of groups in Spain, presumably fly to Venezuela, where a large Basque community. Also, members of ETA is suspected of establishing contacts with the Colombian leftist group FARC, which is fighting with the government.
