Hezbollah saw Biden visit a threat to the sovereignty of Lebanon.

Representatives movement Hezbollah denounced the visit of U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden in Lebanon, saying that he interfered in the internal political life of the country, reported AFP.
Member of the Lebanese parliament from Hezbollah Hassan Fadlalla said that the visit of Biden, two weeks before the general election seemed to him an American attempt to control the vote. On behalf of the MP called on all Lebanese to protest the visit of Vice-President SShA.Po analysts, on June 7, the upcoming elections in Lebanon with Hezbollah and its allies have a chance to get a majority of seats in parliament. Vice-President of United States arrived in Beirut on May 22. Joe Biden to meet with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Minister of Defense Elias Murro.
It was expected that the Minister of Defense, and Joseph Biden will make a joint statement on the prospects of U.S. military aid to Lebanon. Since 2006, military assistance to more than 400 million dollars.
