Twenty people were injured during street riots that have arisen in Pervomaysky demonstration in Linz, Austria, reported Agence France-Presse.
The riots occurred during the march the Austrian Communist Party. A group of fifty people in masks tried to attack the procession of 700 Austrian Communists. During the brawl was a five people were arrested.
Representatives of the Communist Party declared that the attack on the Pervomaysk column was done with the connivance of police. Party considered the police action "provocative."
Meanwhile in Vienna, about a hundred of thousands of Social Democrats protested against the wage freeze. The Chancellor of Austria, the leader of the Social Democratic Party of the country Fayman Werner stated that he was on the side of unions and will not tolerate violations of the rights of workers.
