Former U.S. soldier found guilty of raping an Iraqi girl.

The former U.S. Army private Steven Dale Green (Steven Dale Green) on Thursday was found guilty of raping an Iraqi girl and murdering her family, transmits Agence France-Presse.
Green was found guilty on all 17 counts, including rape, murder and obstruction of justice. Unlike the four other soldiers involved in the crime, a former military judge is not a military but a civilian court.
Remember, Green alleged crime occurred in March 2006 in the Iraqi town of Mahmoudiya. U.S. Army raped a 14-year-old Abir Qasim Hamza al-Dzhahabi and then killed her and three members of her family, who witnessed the crime.
In August 2006, the military admitted the rape and murder, the suspects in the murder blamed it on the Green. In 2007, a military court sentenced a young sergeant, James Barker (James P. Barker), Sergeant Paul Cortez (Paul E. Cortez) and junior Jesse Shpilmana (Jesse V. Spielman) 90, 100 and 110 years of years of imprisonment respectively. Private Bryan Howard (Bryan Howard), who actively cooperated with the investigation, received 5 years in prison.
Green was discharged from the Army before the start of the investigation of events in Mahmoudiya. Shortly after the crime, medical board found him unfit for military service because of mental disorder.
The trial, in which Green will be determined by the penalty will begin on Monday, 11 May. According to the charges together, the former soldier could be sentenced to death, the agency adds.
