Hamas leader said to stop attacks on Israel.

Hamas leader Khaled Mashal declared that the rocket and mortar attacks on Israel ceased on the initiative of organizing it. This, he explained in an interview with American newspaper The New York Times, but did not name the term for which it applies.
According to Mashal, Hamas in full control of the situation in the Gaza Strip, including the armed movements and other groups. He also called on to ignore the Hamas charter, which states that the destruction of Israel through jihad, noting that the document reflects the realities of the 20-year-old.
Mashal said that his movement according to a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, but in his view, this would require long-term truce with Israel. In doing so, Hamas leader insists on the return under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian East Jerusalem, the dismantling of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and the return of refugees: these conditions are not to accept Israel.
In late 2008 - early 2009, the IDF in the Gaza Strip held a three-week operation under the name "Cast lead, which was halting attacks on Israel. During the fighting the Palestinian side of the loss of life amounted to more than 1300 people, and Israel - 13 people.
With the mediation of Egypt to hold bilateral negotiations to conclude a truce between Israel and Hamas, but a mutually acceptable solution by the two parties, was never found. In Israel, Hamas is seen as a terrorist organization.
