Iran began air exercises.

The Iranian Air Force began a three-day air exercises in the Persian Gulf, the Associated Press on Monday, 22 June.
Official Iranian radio reported that the exercises will involve Russian-made fighter aircraft "Sukhoi" and Iranian fighters "Thunder." The aim of exercise - improving the operational Air Force combat effectiveness. The Iranian military fighter for the first time demonstrated the "Thunder" (Saegheh) in 2006, saying that he is not inferior to the American F-18.
It reminds the AP, the exercises being held against the backdrop of massive turmoil in the country caused by the victory in the presidential election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
After the vote, Jun 12, 2009 Iranian opposition, led by Mir-Hossein Mousavi, demands the abolition of the voting results, referring to large-scale falsification in favor of Ahmadinejad. According to the latest data coming from informal sources, during the dispersal of rallies and demonstrations in Iran killed at least 19 people.
