Fatah and Hamas agreed on a security force in Gaza.

Competing Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas on Sunday announced their intention to create joint forces maintain law and order in Gaza, transmits Agence France-Presse.
As explained to the representative of Fatah Nabil Shaath (Nabil Shaath), this reached agreement in principle. The joint force will operate in the region before the elections, scheduled for 5 January 2010.
The leaders of Fatah and Hamas also agreed to form a committee that before the election will serve the functions of government, RIA Novosti adds. According to the Egyptian media on 7 July in the Gaza Strip to leave the delegation of representatives of the security forces of Egypt and other Arab countries, who will the training of Palestinian security forces.
On Monday, talks between rival Palestinian factions continued.
Recall that in June 2007, Hamas seized power in Gaza, while the West Bank remained under the control of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas, a leader of Fatah. The actions of Hamas in the region have, inter alia, to the blockade of the Gaza Strip and the Israeli military operation in late 2008 - early 2009.
