Chevron had reduced production in Nigeria due to pipeline explosion.

The American oil company Chevron reported a decrease in oil production in Nigeria by 100 thousand barrels a day passes AFP, referring to the communication company. This was due to the bombing of pipelines, organized by the Movement for the Liberation fighters Niger Delta (MEND). The company has decided to suspend production, to avoid harm to the environment.
The total volume of oil production in Nigeria is about 2.5 million barrels a day. Thus, oil production due to sabotage declined by 4 per cent.
MEND stands for the independence of most hydrocarbon-rich areas in the country - the Niger Delta, as well as the subsequent nationalization of the oil sector. In addition to the blast pipe, seperatisty used to seize tankers.
