As explained by the Minister of Health of Venezuela Jesús Mantilla (Jesus Mantilla), the decision due to the fact that Coke Zero represents a threat to human health. The Minister did not specify what the beverage ingredients are dangerous to humans. According to the decision of the authorities of the country, all the bottles of Coke Zero should be immediately withdrawn from sale "to preserve the health of Venezuelans."
Official comments from the company's Coca-Cola has not yet been followed, said the agency.
Coke Zero soft drink first appeared on the shelves of Venezuelan stores in April 2009. According to the company, this beverage does not contain sugar and calories. In the Russian market, it should be noted, drink Coke Zero has not yet been released.
Recall that this is not the first radical decision of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, taken in relation to the company Coca-Cola.
