Italy has agreed to take three Guantanamo detainees.

Italy agreed to adopt three prisoners at the military prison Guantanamo Bay, reported Agence France-Presse, referring to the statement by U.S. President Barack Obama, made on 15 June after a meeting with the Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi, are to visit in Washington.
Nationality of prisoners, which Italy would not specify, however, reminds Associated Press, May 2009, the Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said that Italy is considering the adoption of the two Tunisians at Guantanamo.
