United States decided not to delay the withdrawal of troops from Iraqi cities.

Forces Command United States intends to comply with the terms of the security of Baghdad and bring the fighting part of the Iraqi cities by June 30, 2009. That was reported on Tuesday, June 2, Reuters agency, referring to the American commander in Iraq, General Ray Odierno (Ray Odierno).
According to the military, the decision on early withdrawal of troops was made, despite the fact that a number of settlements are still active members of terrorist groups. In particular, the general emphasized the danger of terrorist attacks in the city of Mosul, the care of the troops which was originally intended to defer.
Under the current plan, the U.S. military intends to transfer control of the situation in the cities of the Iraqi army, the capacity and equipment which, according to Odierno, has greatly improved. In doing so, Americans will continue to assist the local military to the moment of final departure from the country in 2011.
Odierno also said that the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the cities will have to demonstrate to Iraqis that the United States to fulfill the terms of agreements. This was especially relevant in light of allegations of breach of the security agreement made in April to the Americans to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Then, in his view, U.S. forces without prior coordination with the Iraqi side, held a special operation in the city of Kut, which killed several civilians.
The agreement, in violation of the conditions that al-Maliki accused the United States, provides for the stay of American troops in the country until 2011. According to the same document, the U.S. forces to leave Iraqi cities by June 30, 2009.
