Under the Montreal Convention, which defines the rules of the international airline, Air France should pay compensation to the families of those killed in the crash. These risks have been insured, but it is unknown how many will get the airline according to the insurance contracts.

According to the latest investigation, the cause of the crash was that of A330-200 started to rotate out of order, after which the plane fell into the Atlantic Ocean. The bodies of the dead passengers were found at a distance of about 100 kilometers from each other.
