In Israel, two journalists convicted of revealing military secrets.

An Israeli court sentenced two journalists of Palestinian origin to two months in prison for divulging information about the movement of Israeli troops on the border with the Gaza Strip before the start of "Operation Cast lead" in January 2009, transfer agency Reuters .

Kader Shaheen (Khader Shahine) and Mohammed Sarhan (Mohammed Sarhan) found guilty of violating the rules of military censorship, under which a journalist based in Israel, may report on developments related to the armed forces, only after coordination with the IDF.

Meanwhile, journalists on 3 January autocratically handed the Iranian news agency on forcing Israeli troops to the border with the Gaza Strip. This happened a few hours before the start of large-scale ground operation aimed at eliminating militia of radical Islamic movement Hamas.
