Ekaterinburg was opened the summit of SCO.

In Yekaterinburg, officially opened the summit with the heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). That was reported by ITAR-TASS news agency on Tuesday, 16 June.
Russia is currently the chairman of the organization. After completion of the summit's presidency will go to Uzbekistanu.Nakanune Sergei Prikhodko, assistant to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said that the summit will discuss issues to improve international cooperation in order to make the SCO a "new quality and dynamics."
In addition to the Heads of the participating countries - China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan - are participating in the summit as observers, the presidents of Pakistan and Iran, as well as Indian Prime Minister Manhoman Singh and the First Vice Prime Minister of Mongolia Norovyn Altanhuyag.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Yekaterinburg on 16 June morning. It was expected that the Iranian leader arrives in Russia on 15 June, but his visit is believed by observers, was arrested because of the riots in Iran, which began after his victory in the presidential election held on 12 June 2009.
It was expected that at the end of the summit declaration to be signed following a meeting.
