SyuzhetyAmerikanskaya PRO Frontier Rossii05.03.2009Hillari Clinton invited Russia to cooperate on missile systems PROZenitnye Patriot, which the U.S. plans to deploy in Poland at the request of leadership of this country, will be supplied only to educational and training purposes, without warheads, 25 May, the newspaper writes "Time of news". The latter will be stored separately in the territory of third countries or, perhaps, the United States. Pentagon's position on this issue is resentment of Polish military, because in their view, without weapons systems will be useless.
It clarifies the issue, the deployment of Patriot MANPADS on Polish territory yet to be fully resolved, although in late May, Deputy Minister of Defense of this country Stanislav Komarovsky said that American troops would be deployed near Warsaw by the end of 2009. According to him, it's about 100-110 troops and 196 missiles. This was originally intended to be imported only for certain periods of time, and since 2012, MANPADS Patriot will be available on an ongoing basis.
Nevertheless, according to the "Time of news" in the process of negotiating parties to resolve a number of difficult issues. It is not just about training options for MANPADS, which are not satisfied with the Poles, but also the status of foreign troops on Polish territory, as well as taxes paid by American soldiers.
Recall that the plans for Poland and the United States caused discontent in Russia, considered the deployment of American troops with a set of Patriot as a threat to its security. However, as previously reported, plans of Warsaw and Washington on MANPADS Patriot will not depend on the intentions of U.S. President Barack Obama on the deployment in Europe of missile defense system - launch long-range interceptors in Poland and radar in the Czech Republic. That also objected Moscow.
