16-member team of South Korean dry cargo ship off the coast of Japan, faced with a Panamanian vessel, remain missing. This is with reference shore of Japan, reported Agence France-Presse.
According to recent data, bulk carrier "Signus Eys, coming under the flag of Panama, collided with a South Korean" Okid Pia, after which the latter ship was lost with the radar. Panamanian dry cargo ship captain immediately reported the collision of a Japanese rescue services, who also unsuccessfully attempted to contact the South Korean vessel.
To search for the missing as a result of a dry cargo ship sent six boats and two Coast Guard rescue plane. "Bulk carrier 'Okid Pia', probably drowned," - suggest the Japanese rescuers. At the moment, managed to find only an empty inflatable raft, the whereabouts of 16-member team of South Korean ship remains unknown.
"Okid Piá" followed from the Japanese port of Kashima in South Korea and was carrying five thousand tons of steel coils.
