French students staged pogroms on Montmartre.

In Paris on the night of March 18, students clashed with police, said AFP.
The protesters ransacked the students in the Montmartre quarter, breaking shop windows and supermarket two banks. According to one student, it all began with "University Night", which gathered several thousands of students around the University of Sorbonne. Then the action turned into riots, which was attended by about 150 people.
The reasons for this protest is not yet known. Meanwhile, March 17, about 200 students blocked the work of the Paris Institute of Political Studies in protest against inequality in higher education.
In March 2006, the French demonstrations took place thousands of students. The students were protesting against the introduction of legislation to allow young workers to dismiss without explanation, and severance pay.
The demonstrations escalated into riots and clashes with police. Police even had to storm the Sorbonne, which captured the students. A total of protest was attended by about a million people.
