Kirghistan severed an agreement on the "Manas" in 11 countries.

Earlier, the President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev signed a decree denouncing the agreement on the airbase with Washington. American troops must leave the territory of Kyrgyzstan in six months.
The base was opened in 2001 and has been used to support coalition operations in Afghanistan against the Taliban.
The idea to terminate the contract with the U.S. and the countries - parties to the antiterrorist coalition was announced Bakiev on 3 February in Moscow. Meanwhile, on 4 March in an interview with BBC News, he said that while the treaty on the use of "Manas" is no longer in force for the Americans in Kyrgyzstan "door is not closed." He emphasized that Bishkek is ready to consider new proposals from Washington aimed at stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan.
