Prime Minister of the German land of Thuringia Dieter Althausu (Dieter Althaus) charged with murder by negligence. That was reported by DW-WORLD. As the prosecutor told the Austrian city of Leoben in which the case of German officials, the accused gave a written testimony, which claimed responsibility for the death of a person.
The incident, which Althaus was under investigation, occurred in Austria on 1 January 2009. According to the investigation, Prime Minister of Thuringia, katayas skiing, collided on a slope with a 41-year-old woman who as a result of the collision received serious head injuries. Subsequently the victim died.
BBC News clarify that the victim was tourism from Slovakia.
 According to DW-WORLD, the maximum penalty, which threatens Althausu, if found guilty - one year imprisonment. BBC News reports that the defendant faces up to two years.
Leoben prosecutor noted that although the German officer, and assumed responsibility for the deaths of women, he said that he did not recall the details of what happened. It is noted that Althaus as a result of the collision itself received head injuries, which have not yet recovered.
