Tariq Aziz, the closest ally of the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, March 11, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. According to France Presse, while the same term was Hassan al-Majid (Chemical Ali).
Both former officials were found guilty of crimes against humanity.
As the court, they were involved in the killing of 42 merchants from Baghdad, where the former Iraqi government was accused of speculation and deliberate excessive pricing during states of UN sanctions against the regime of Saddam Hussein.
Earlier, Chemical Ali, received three death sentences for involvement in the destruction of the Shiite population in Iraq in mid-1990's. C Aziz those charges were dropped.
