Yemeni authorities have released 170 suspects of having links with Al Qaeda.

The government of Yemen for two days was released 170 people arrested on suspicion of having links with the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, said on Sunday agency Associated Press, referring to unnamed representatives of the Yemeni security officials.
The detainees were released after they gave a written undertaking not to engage in terrorist activities, which, as the agency is standard procedure in Yemen, and previously applied to those suspected in the terrorist abroad. In addition, the behavior will be released to local tribal elders, enjoy great influence in parts of the country.
U.S. reaction to the decision of Yemeni authorities, not known, but in the past, such steps are not met the approval of America.
