Action Movement for the Liberation of Niger Delta (MEND) said the pipeline blew up two American company Chevron in the Niger Delta, said AFP.
In the statement, MEND said that was blown up oil and gas pipelines, for which recovery from previous attacks Chevron previously spent 56 million dollars. Chevron officials said that checking the message of the attack militants, to desist from further comment.
In June, MEND militants have claimed responsibility for a fire at a pumping station U.S. company Chevron, and in May violated the work of five pumping stations of Chevron in the Niger Delta, bringing the U.S. company was forced to take action to reduce oil production at oil fields in Nigeria to 100 thousand barrels per day - more than a quarter.
Because of the activity of MEND fighters oil companies operating in Nigeria since 2006 have reduced average daily oil production by more than 20 per cent. This has allowed Angola to catch up with Nigeria for the amount of oil production, denying her the title of the largest oil producer in Africa.
MEND stands for the independence of most hydrocarbon-rich areas in the country - the Niger Delta, as well as the subsequent nationalization of the oil sector. The militants of the organization repeatedly attacked facilities owned by foreign oil companies, as well as killed and the hostages were seized in their staff.
In mid-May, the Government of Nigeria initiated a large-scale operation against the militant Movement for the Liberation of the Niger delta. In response to the actions of the government militia called on their supporters to arms and demanded that foreign oil companies as soon as possible to curtail their activities in the region.
