The police detained 300 participants in the protest in Paris.

French police had been forced to use tear gas against demonstrators, held on 19 March in Paris, reports AFP.

After completion of the protest, held in Paris as part of the March 19 general strike in France, several hundred demonstrators pelted police with stones began to burn and waste containers on the streets surrounding the Square Nation.
